Welcome to the GUAM PARENT INFORMATION RESOURCE CENTER's Website!
You are visiting a special place that is not only for parents, but for everyone interested in improving the education of Guam’s children. The goal of the Guam PIRC is to increase parent involvement in children’s education so they can succeed both in school and in life.
As a newly established federally funded center, the Guam PIRC (pronounced “perk”) is working hard to take the lead in helping all parents and parent groups on the island. Although our target populations are those from the lower socio-economic levels and socially disadvantaged situations, our doors are open to all parents and guardians who wish to improve their parenting skills and are willing to learn how to help in their children’s education and social growth.
Guam is a small island community with many diverse international cultures. Everyone should feel that they belong, and that this is their home. It is our hope that you will make the Guam PIRC your home. May you find comfort and help when you walk into our center, attend a training workshop, participate in an outreach meeting, or visit our website. We are here for you!
